Brian Woodring is Chief Information Officer at Newrez, leading technology strategy across digital products, applications, IT infrastructure, information security, data, and AI. Mr. Woodring joined Newrez as CIO in 2025.

A proven innovator with a track record that includes industry-shaping products powering both mortgage servicing and originations, Mr. Woodring is passionate about using technology to solve complex challenges, improve the homeowner experience, and build high-performing teams. His vision for AI and digital transformation is helping to shape the future of technology at Newrez.

Mr. Woodring brings over 25 years of experience in mortgage technology and leadership to Newrez. Before joining the company, he served as Head of Technology at Rocket Mortgage. Previously, he was Chief Information Officer at ALAW, a managing partner and co-founder of The Phoenix Team focused on innovation for financial services and government clients, and an Executive Vice President at Black Knight, where he spent nearly a decade overseeing the design and delivery of servicing and default technology platforms. During his career, Mr. Woodring has played a key role in developing products such as VALERI, MSP, LoanSphere, and Rocket Logic.
